Under general direction of the Director, Business Development and Planning, and supporting the Chief Planning and Implementation Officer, the Strategy & Planning Manager is responsible for leading and supporting a variety of innovative, strategic planning initiatives, business development, and implementation project management efforts.
This position requires a high performing individual who is able to manage multiple projects and production activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Business development projects include opportunity assessment research, competitive analyses, bid strategy formulation, business and marketing plan development, government proposal writing.
  • Strategic and operational planning initiatives include leading innovation project teams, supporting the design, development and implementation of customer experience program, supporting strategic and operational planning; performing market research, and conducting economic analyses on new or shared service opportunities.
  • Implementation project management will lead and support transition management of new or modified business into the organization.
  • Defines or participates in business development projects including writing proposals, business plans and marketing plans.
  • Executes projects from start to finish; sets objectives and goals; delivers timely and objective feedback on accomplishments.
  • Reviews bid opportunities and prepares supporting analysis and rationale.
  • Develops opportunity assessments inclusive of solicitation summaries, competitive analysis, win themes, resource requirements and assignments, proposal development timelines, risk analysis, cost-benefit and ROI analysis and cost of capture projections.
  • Assists in the development and assessment of bid strategy
  • Performs market research and economic analyses on new or shared services opportunities and/or business models.
  • Manages multiple projects and production activities simultaneously while producing deliverables.
  • Lead innovation, strategic initiative design, development, and implementation project teams
  • Support the design, development and implementation of customer experience program,
  • Support strategic and operational planning
  • Perform routine and ad hoc market research
  • Conduct economic analyses on new or shared service opportunities.
  • Lead and support transition management of new or modified business into the organization.
  • Analyzes companys competition and formulates plans to develop and maintain advantage.
  • Provide project support to senior executive initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care Administration or related field.
  • Two plus years consulting experience
  • Effective team player with demonstrated experience working with internal and external stakeholders and building new relationships
  • Experience applying quantitative techniques to unstructured problems
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Comfortable adapting in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Success at challenging (and enhancing) existing strategic solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
  • Master in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care Administration, or related field
  • General Understanding of healthcare industry, reimbursement, and managed care
  • Department of Defense or Veterans Administration experience
  • Experience with customer experience programs
  • Healthcare consulting experience
