Position Description:

As an electrical engineer for the Systems Integration Group (SIG) in Boise, ID, you will participate in designing and analyzing digital and analog circuits used in the development of semiconductor test equipment. In this position, you will develop your skills as an engineer and gain experience working on important test equipment related projects that benefit Micron.

Responsibilities and Tasks:


  • Applies learned technical design concepts and follows detailed instructions.
  • Solves complex design problems and seeks guidance as needed.
  • Integrates knowledge of concepts, principles and theories of Electrical & Computer Engineering.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in new circuit conception and design as needed.
  • Assist in design and development of schematics.
  • Analyze component specifications for design use
  • Debug of electronics in an ESD safe lab environment.
  • Write and understand test software as it relates to electronic debug and verification.
  • Write technical documents and lab reports.
  • Document circuit and system designs.
  • Present design work for peer review.
  • Work in a team to accomplish a goal.

    Design work may include:

  • Hierarchical and flat system level design.
  • Design, simulation, and implementation of FPGA designs.
  • Microcontroller and processors circuits.
  • Power supply design and distribution on a circuit board.
  • Signal and power integrity analysis.
  • Test and measurement circuits

    Desired Tool Experience:

  • Schematic capture and layout tools including Cadence or Mentor Graphics.
  • Lab equipment including Oscilloscopes and DMMs.
  • ASIC or FPGA design tools.
  • Verilog HDL.
  • Linux OS.
  • Python, C/C++, or other programming languages.

    Education Requirements:

    • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required
