Position Purpose

The Corporate Reliability Engineer will apply leading practices to identify defect elimination opportunities and take actions that improve equipment reliability. The primary focus will be assisting facilities in reducing preventable failures of the company’s physical assets through engineered solutions and best practice sharing. This position will also support ongoing sustainment of the reliability excellence processes including asset health evaluation, work management, asset integrity and cause analysis.

Principal Accountabilities

60% - Identify, develop and implement solutions utilizing engineering practices to prevent and eliminate defects in critical plant assets.

20% - Provide leadership and guidance to site maintenance personnel regarding reliability excellence elements (work management, asset health evaluation, cause analysis).

10% - Lead development and implementation of M&R strategies to achieve business and customer objectives with new assets added to the facility.

10% - Support build projects through reliability consulting, and reliability deliverable project expectations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in engineering
    • OR high school diploma/GED or higher degree AND 5 or more years of experience in maintenance management or project engineering
  • 3 or more years of experience working in a food processing facility supporting problem-solving and process improvement efforts
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of experience working in a food processing facility supporting problem-solving and process improvement
  • Experience with cooked or further processed food production
  • Experience working in multiple businesses or locations
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification
  • Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance

  • Experience using reliability centered maintenance techniques, cause analysis facilitation, and condition monitoring technologies (i.e. vibration, infrared, ultrasound, oil analysis, etc.)
  • Has an understanding of failure modes and strategies to apply to mitigate risk
