INVISTA is seeking an experienced, hands-on Solutions Architect to lead the development, implementation and on-going governance of INVISTAs Enterprise Data Lake, data analytics architecture, and related platforms.

This role will be a member of the INVISTA Analytics team that provides enablement for traditional reporting and advanced analytics throughout INVISTA. This is accomplished through efficient ingest, storage and consumption of data, both manufacturing and commercial, as well as enabling data science model management, deployment and monitoring for various customer groups.

**This position is located in Wichita, KS and would require relocation (assistance available)

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Work with business partners to understand key business drivers and using that knowledge to experiment and transform Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics solutions to capture the value of those business opportunities
  • Translate a business process/problem into a logical data model and proposed technical implementation plan
  • Mentor and develop appropriate knowledge and skills in other data engineers and team members
  • Assist in developing and implementing consistent processes for data modeling, mining and production
  • Focus on implementing development processes and tools that allow for the collection of metadata, access to metadata, and done in a way that allows for widespread code reuse (e.g. utilization of ETL Frameworks, Generic Metadata driven Tools, shared data dimensions, etc.) that will enable impact analysis as well as source to target tracking and reporting

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • 5+ years experience planning, building and running enterprise-scale data analytics solutions
  • Experience using cloud platforms like AWS to build analytics solutions
  • Experience with developing in and implementation of dimensional modeling

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Amazon AWS stack experience including Athena, Redshift, Glue, or Lambda
  • Experience with cloud data warehousing solutions including Snowflake
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical tools like PowerBI, Python, etc.
  • Experience with sensor/streaming type data (IoT) within an automated manufacturing environment.
