To excel in this role, you’ll need to be a self-starter who is ready to perform on day one. In a small team like ours, everyone wears a lot of hats, and nothing is “not your job.” The environment is dynamic, so you’ll also need to be flexible and adaptable to change as we grow. We are looking for ex Big Four CPAs that care more about building relationships than balancing debits and credits.

What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a motivated Advisory: Recruiter & Event Coordinator who will play a key role in the growth of the Embark! You will partner closely with hiring managers and senior leadership to strategically identify, attract and retain top talent. Ideally, you have a strong background in accounting and some time spent working in public accounting. You have a true passion for people and culture, are driven to develop yourself and those around you, and, of course, you must love helping our clients solve problems!

What you bring to the table

  • BA / BS degree in business, accounting, finance or another relevant field
  • 2+ years experience of relevant work experience - Big 4 public accounting
  • Accounting or finance background
  • Proactive approach to work, motivated to develop your skills
  • A data-driven mind with experience tracking and reporting key metrics designed to optimize sourcing strategies
  • Ability to work independently and handle a high volume of open positions at once
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners
  • Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Hustle. The company depends on us to deliver quickly, across time zones, and against severe deadlines. We need somebody not to keep the trains running on time, but to speed them up
  • Attitude. We work awfully hard and we’re having a blast doing it. This team believes what we’re doing is changing the world for the better, and we play to win
  • Knowledge of Plum.io and the Culture Index would be a PLUS

What Youll be doing...

  • Provide an extremely positive, high-touch experience for any/all candidates throughout the entire interview process for the Austin office
  • Implement best hiring practice and procedures for local team
  • Identify new and creative ways to build the Embark employment brand in the Austin market including hosting and attending relevant events
  • Source both active and passive candidates through referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, networking events, career fairs, university recruiting, and in-depth market research
  • Maintain our people database, Lever.co and use data from systems such as Plum.io and the Culture Index to drive hiring decisions
  • Act as people liaison for Austin office including monitoring candidate experience and interview process to assisting with onboarding new hires
